Best Papers from the 2001 Conference

Normally, the Best Papers from our annual conference are announced at the end of the conference. Due to the format of this year's conference, that was not possible. The Best Paper Committee, chaired by PNAIRP Past-President Kathi Ketcheson, has completed their work and our congratulations go out to the following PNAIRPers!

For the AIR Best Paper:
Patty Beatty-Guenter,
Distance Education and High Attrition Rates

For the NCRP Best Paper:
Dan Walleri and Joan Jagodnic,
Evaluation of Portland State University/Community College Co-Admissions Program

And (a new one this year, at the request of this conference's planning committee), for the Higher Education Assessment Conference Nomination:
Diane Gould and David Ortiz,
Electronic Portfolio: Its Promise for Student Assessment and Program Improvement

Congratulations to these individuals and thanks to all of our presenters and those of you who were able to attend the conference in Victoria! You are what make our organization so worthwhile!
