The theme selected for our 38th Annual PNAIRP Conference is “Building IR on Sound Foundations: Orientation, Collaboration, and Innovation.”

This year the conference will be held in downtown Tacoma at the Hotel Murano on November 8-10, 2017. It is located in the heart of downtown and offers a unique experience with museum style glass art. Further, you will receive discounts at many of the museums with your conference pass, including The Museum of Glass and Tacoma Art Museum. There are also a variety of restaurants and nightlife opportunities within walking distance of the hotel.

The conference themes include:

  • Orientation: Helping participants become better oriented with the field of IR, a particular role in an IR office, the Pacific Northwest Region, or a specific institution type or sector
  • Collaboration: Identifying ways IR offices can collaborate across institutions, with internal departments on their own campus, or with external partners such as consortiums
  • Innovation: Providing examples of innovation in tools, methods, or processes that support institutional research, either internally or externally developed
