2019 Volunteer Opportunities

Financial Audit Review Committee

The Audit Committee helps the Treasurer review the previous fiscal year's activities to make sure things are in order. We anticipate the work taking a total of four hours- two hours to review and two hours for the group to (virtually) meet and discuss.

Non-Profit Status Committee

PNAIRP is hoping to change our status from a 501c6 to a 501c3, which will provide us with financial benefits, among other things.  The research about the differences between these two statuses and what it takes to apply for 501c3 status is already complete. Now we need a small team of individuals to help put the application together.  We anticipate the work taking a total of  8 to 10 hours for each committee member. 

By-Laws Review Committee

Ours is a strong and vital organization, but it's been quite some time since we've reviewed the by-laws that help govern our day-to-day business. In the interim, technology has changed how we do our work as an executive board and some of our by-laws or board positions might be out of date.  A review of the bylaws (and subsequent recommended changes) will help keep our organization relevant and serving our membership in the best way possible!  We anticipate the work taking a total of 8 to 10 hours for each committee member.

2019 Conference Local Arrangements Committee

The success of each annual conference depends on volunteers who, before the conference takes place, create helpful hints, lists of things to do and places to eat and makes decisions about what we should eat at conference meals.  We still need a few more folks who are in or near Vancouver, BC to help work out the details before the conference.  We anticipate this work taking 3-5 hours per committee member.

When we get a little closer to conference time, we will also seek volunteers to help during the conference.  Stay tuned for more details!
